The Engine Module (EM) is designed to be a very small spacecraft of 40-70 kg, and its function is to perform N-S station keeping of a given client spacecraft. Control commands, from an Earth based control centre, towards the EM are routed through the CS, by means of using its telemetry-telecommand channel. The EM by listening to the telemetry of the CS and selecting specially identifiable telemetry packets, it can obtain the commands, addressed to it, and which are needed for its operation.
With respect to the service position the EM is designed to be attached on a CS. The porting to the CS spacecraft and docking is planned to be performed by a UA.
